Acme Automation in Dubai seeks an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer to develop and optimise CNC programs using CAM software (SolidCAM or similar) for in-house automation components. You'll program 3, 4 and 5-axis machining, interpret drawings and CAD models, select tools and strategies, and verify programs through simulation and first-piece prove-out.

You will support production to ensure precision, quality and efficiency, improve cycles and tool life, maintain program libraries, and collaborate

Formación

• Hands-on experience in 5-axis CNC programming.
• Knowledge of simultaneous 5-axis and/or 3+2 machining.
• Experience with SolidCAM or similar CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX CAM).
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, feeds, speeds and cutting parameters.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T and CAD models.

We are looking for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer to develop and optimise CNC programs using CAM software (SolidCAM or similar) for in-house manufactured automation components. The role involves programming 3, 4 and 5-axis machining operations, interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models, selecting machining tools and strategies, verifying programs through simulation, and supporting production to ensure precision, quality and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES

• Develop CNC programs and tool paths using CAM software (SolidCAM or similar) for in-house manufactured automation components

Program 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis machining operations, including simultaneous 5-axis and 3+2 machining

Interpret CAD models, engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to plan the machining process

Select cutting tools, hxtures, work-holding, feeds, speeds and machining strategies foreach job

Perform CAM simulation, collision checking and program verihcation before releasingprograms to the machine

Support machine setup, testing and hrst-piece prove-out together with the CNC operators.

Troubleshoot and optimise CNC programs and machining processes to resolve quality or process issues

Coordinate with Production, Design, Tool Room and Quality teams on job priorities,drawing clarihcations and inspection results

Improve cycle time, productivity, tool life and machining quality through continuous improvement.

Maintain an organised library of CNC programs, set-up sheets and tool lists with proper revision control

Follow workshop health and safety rules, ISO 9001/14001/45001 procedures and good housekeeping practices

Perform any other related duties assigned by management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience in 5-axis CNC programming.

Knowledge of simultaneous 5-axis and/or 3+2 machining.

Experience with SolidCAM or similar CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX CAM)

Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, feeds, speeds and cutting parameters.
Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T and CAD models.

Knowledge of CNC controllers (e.g. Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain) and machining processes.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work with production and engineering teams.

QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related held, or ITI / vocational certihcation in CNC machining.
• Certification or formal training in CAM software (SolidCAM or similar) is an advantage.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of relevant VMC operating experience.
• Proven experience in CNC programming for 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining centres,preferably in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
