Job summary

alkalma Healthcare is seeking an experienced Senior Network and Cloud Security Engineer in Abu Dhabi to implement, secure, and troubleshoot the organisation’s multi-cloud infrastructure across all sites. You will manage Aruba, Fortinet, and Meraki platforms, coordinate SOC activities, and support security audits while safeguarding Azure, AWS, and other cloud workloads.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience spanning network infrastructure, network security, and cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with HPE, Fortinet, and Cisco, including switching and enterprise Wi‑Fi.
• Practical experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting NAC solutions.
• Strong Azure security expertise and experience securing additional cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of IP telephony, VoIP, SIP, and voice-network troubleshooting.
• Experience with SOC coordination, incident response, vulnerability management, and security audits.
• Certifications in HPE/Aruba, Fortinet, Cisco, or cloud security are preferred; healthcare-sector experience is a plus.
• Healthcare-sector experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage HPE Aruba, Fortinet, and Cisco Meraki infrastructure, including switching, Wi‑Fi, and FortiGate firewalls.
• Maintain routing, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN, and high availability; troubleshoot connectivity and wireless issues.
• Implement, administer, and troubleshoot Aruba ClearPass NAC, including 802.1X and guest access.
• Support IP telephony, VoIP, and centralized call centre infrastructure (PBX, SIP trunks, QoS).
• Secure workloads across Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and Tencent Cloud, including WAFs and DDoS protection.
• Administer identity and privileged access controls (Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, CA, PAM such as Wallix).
• Support Defender and Intune security controls and their NAC integration.
• Coordinate with SOC on monitoring, incident response, and remediation; review service effectiveness.
• Conduct security configuration reviews, vulnerability assessments, and remediation tracking.
• Support Windows/Linux hardening and core services (AD, DNS, DHCP, NTP, PKI, TLS).
• Monitor infrastructure availability and capacity; manage firmware updates and rollback plans.
• Support backup security, disaster recovery planning, and failover testing.
• Automate routine administration using PowerShell or Python and IaC tools.
• Maintain network diagrams and asset inventories; coordinate vendor support and renewals.
• Support audits against ADHICS/DoH/DHA with evidence preparation and closure of findings.
