Job summary

AECOM in Dubai is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support the Resident Engineer in supervising stormwater drainage networks, microtunneling works, and related civil structures, ensuring all activities meet contract requirements, drawings, and local standards with strict safety and schedule adherence.

The role demands extensive UAE experience, notably in Dubai, with proven ability to manage site teams, coordinate interfaces across civil, structural and MEP disciplines, and drive QA/QC,

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of post-graduate experience in supervision and construction of stormwater drainage networks and microtunneling works.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for stormwater and microtunneling works.
• Conduct inspections for installations per drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Monitor inspectors’ performance and document site activities.
• Update progress reports for Resident Engineer/Project Manager.
• Verify and prepare as-built documentation.
• Coordinate civil, structural and MEP interfaces.
• Review material submittals, design queries, and method statements.
• Oversee stormwater pipelines, microtunneling drives, shafts, manholes and chambers.
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards during all site activities.
• Support design modifications and value engineering as needed.
• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings related to microtunneling and stormwater.
