Job summary

Consertus seeks a Senior Resident Engineer to advise and assist on-site supervision of construction activities in Sharjah, ensuring quality assurance and control from start to completion. The role involves coordinating with owners, reviewing submittals, monitoring schedules, and maintaining safety on site.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with 10–12 years’ experience, 4+ years in a similar role, and professional membership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
10–12 years overall with 4+ years in a similar role.
Society of Engineers certification/membership.
Experience with consultancy or contracting firms.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, finishes, materials, and standards.
Proficiency in reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals, and technical documents.
Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Supervise site activities in accordance with Laceco guidelines and the Resident Engineer's directions.
Review contractor submittals and coordinate with owner/client representatives.
Monitor construction schedules and ensure timely progress.
Ensure materials comply with ministerial requirements and contract documents.
Prepare weekly and monthly construction progress reports and safety observations.
Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders as required.
Maintain on-site quality control and proper storage of materials.
