Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Dubai seeks an experienced Civil Draftsman to produce detailed civil drawings for sewerage, drainage, irrigation, and road projects.

You will update drawings based on engineers’ feedback and prepare as-built documents from site data, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality standards. You will collaborate with engineers and designers to maintain standards, manage project documentation, and deliver accurate drawings on schedule using MicroStation,

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Civil Draftsman, with at least 3-5 years of experience in the UAE.
• Previous experience working with an engineering consultancy is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in the latest versions of MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
• Experience in preparing drawings for sewerage, drainage, stormwater, irrigation, and road infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality standards and existing utility/infrastructure networks is highly preferred.
• Ability to interpret as-built drawings and utility records accurately.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong coordination skills with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Produce drawings for sewerage, stormwater, drainage, irrigation, and road infrastructure projects.
• Update and revise drawings based on engineers' comments and project requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings from site survey data and construction records.
• Review and interpret existing utility and infrastructure records.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to ensure drawing accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain drawing standards and documentation in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications and other engineering software to support project documentation.
