Job summary

Stantec in Dubai seeks an experienced Civil Draftsman to prepare detailed civil drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD. You will produce sewerage, drainage, irrigation and road project drawings, update them per engineer feedback, and create as-built records from site surveys.

Required are a civil drafting diploma, 5–7 years’ UAE experience and strong English, with familiarity to Dubai Municipality standards. Join a global consultancy delivering diverse infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting or related discipline.
• 5–7 years experience as a Civil Draftsman, with 3–5 years in the UAE.
• Experience with an engineering consultancy is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD (latest versions).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Experience drafting sewerage, drainage, stormwater, irrigation and road projects.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality standards and existing utility networks.
• Ability to interpret as-built drawings and utility records.
• Strong English communication and coordination skills.
• Preference for candidates based in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Produce drawings for sewerage, stormwater, drainage, irrigation, and road infrastructure projects.
• Update and revise drawings based on engineers' comments and project requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings from site survey data and construction records.
• Review and interpret existing utility and infrastructure records.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers and stakeholders for accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain drawing standards and documentation per requirements.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and other software to support project documentation.
