Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon with South African Board qualification to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The role involves complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, pre- and post-operative care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate holds an MBBS or equivalent, SA board in Cardiothoracic Surgery, and current specialist registration, with a track record in tertiary care or teaching

Qualifications

• Tertiary-care or teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Strong surgical, clinical and leadership abilities.
• Eligible for DOH/DHA medical licensing where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level cardiothoracic surgical services.
• Perform elective and emergency cardiac and thoracic procedures.
• Manage patients with complex cardiothoracic conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and plan surgeries.
• Post-operative management and monitor recovery.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, anesthetists and other teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and governance activities.
