Job summary

Khatib & Alami is seeking a skilled CAD/BIM Technician – Infrastructure in Abu Dhabi to prepare, develop, and maintain accurate drawings and BIM models for roads, utilities, and related works. You will produce 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure alignment with local standards.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, CAD, BIM or related field, and 8+ years of infrastructure CAD/BIM experience, with strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, CAD, BIM, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a CAD/BIM technician in infrastructure projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience preferred.
• Experience in roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, and infrastructure projects.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred; Abu Dhabi project experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination, drawings, as-builts, and clash detection.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, levels, coordinates, and construction details.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models for roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop plans, profiles, sections, layouts, details, and construction drawings.
• Update drawings/models based on design changes, site requirements, and engineering comments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve drawing/model clashes.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings based on site and survey information.
• Ensure drawings meet project, CAD/BIM, QA/QC, and Abu Dhabi authority standards.
• Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, levels, coordinates, and revisions.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control records.
• Support BIM coordination, model updates, and clash detection.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and site teams to ensure timely drawing deliverables.
