Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced butcher for an award-winning western restaurant group in Dubai to join their expansion project. The role demands strict adherence to hygiene, accurate quality checks on meat and fish deliveries, and close coordination with the Executive Chef and Stock Controller.

You will be responsible for cleanliness and proper storage of meat and fish, enforcing company procedures, and supporting sanitation inspections while maintaining equipment in good order.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of butcher experience in hotels, restaurants or cruise ships.
• Able to prepare all meats and fish per company standards.
• Must hold a Culinary Certificate from a recognized institution.
• Experience with quality control, production control, meat and fish storing.

Responsibilities

• Follow hygiene procedures and communicate respectfully with chefs and stock controller.
• Check all meat and fish on delivery for quality and quantity.
• Maintain cleanliness of meat and fish prep rooms and proper storage.
• Communicate with Executive Chef regarding ordering and preparation.
• Adhere to guidelines from the Chef and F&B Manager efficiently.
• Keep machines and equipment in good repair and handle with care.
• Report maintenance needs to relevant personnel.
• Be present during sanitation inspections of your areas.
• Be aware of company meat and fish portioning and prep procedures.
• Daily contact with Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
