Job summary

Amgen Inc in Muscat, Oman, seeks a Senior Biopharmaceutical Representative to drive product promotion and collaborate with healthcare partners to serve patients. You will develop territory POA and regional plans, and engage with District Manager and cross-functional teams to deliver objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, English fluency, strong communication, and CRM experience. You will operate within Oman’s healthcare landscape, working with MOH and hospitals while meeting sales

• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience in pharmaceutical sales with track record of success
• Based in Muscat is a must
• Experience in biotechnology field
• Knowledge of Oman healthcare system and MOH operations
• Experience with computer systems (CRM databases and MS Office)
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Drive to achieve established goals
• Time management and deadline discipline
• Fluency in English (oral and written)
• Oman transferable residency and valid driving license

Responsibilities

• Promote Amgen's products and communicate key messages with partners to serve patients

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will enhance the promotion of Amgen's products and communicate key messages by collaborating with partners to serve patients:

• Collaborate with manager to develop and implement territory POA and key account plans
• Evaluate progress versus plan monthly and agrees to course corrections with manager
• Contribute to cluster/territory teams and Marketing, Medical Affairs/Value & Access teams to agree on key account plan objectives/responsibilities
• Engage with peers and District Manager and cross-functional teams to improve product knowledge
• Demonstrate an understanding of industry and healthcare trends, of how retail practices, clinics and hospitals operate
• Follow through on customer commitments and request in a timely fashion
• Report customer activity in the CRM system and ensure customer profiles are kept up-to-date
• Demonstrate an understanding of Amgen Performance for selling platform to satisfy customer and Amgen needs
• Operate within the agreed expense budget aligned with POA priorities
• Seek inputs and assistance to prioritize activities in a timely fashion and follow-up with customers
• Continuously develop and improve product knowledge, communication and selling skills through self-learning and active participation in agreed training programs to drive own development

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor`s degree
• Demonstrated experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a sales-related job with track record of success demonstrating consistency of achieving results
• Based in Muscat is a must.
• Experience Biotechnology related field
• Understanding of Oman healthcare system and patient flow especially MOH – Ministry of defense & SQUH.
• Experience with computer systems (CRM databases and MS Office)
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Hold self accountable for achieving established goals
• Demonstrate time management skills in terms of prioritizing activities and completing work in a timely manner; meet deadlines
• Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication
• Oman relevant local legal qualification (Transferrable residency and valid driving license)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor`s degree in life science or (bio) medical sciences
• Knowledge of Customer Relation Management principles
• Exposure to interactions with various fields and organizational levels
• Exposure to project management principles
• Demonstrated resilience in sophisticated environments.
• Demonstrated high learning agility.
• Cardiovascular/Cardiometabolic experience is a preference.
