Job summary

Udrive is seeking a Senior Backend Platform Engineer in Dubai to own scalable backend systems. You will design and develop APIs, backend services, and database-driven applications with a strong emphasis on security, performance, and reliability at scale.

This role focuses on hands-on backend development, deploying and optimizing production applications, and collaborating across teams to deliver robust data-driven solutions for mobility platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with backend focus.
• Proficient in Python with async programming and performance optimization.
• Production-grade backend systems experience using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SOA, and database design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and external API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services.
• Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven apps.
• Develop async processing using Python asyncio.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure API communication.
• Write tests, review code, and maintain quality.
