Job summary

LuLu Retail Holdings PLC is seeking a Senior SDE to own backend services across Identity, Account, and Order Tracking. You will design scalable microservices, implement secure APIs, and drive cross-team collaboration to optimize the end-to-end order lifecycle from checkout to delivery.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in backend engineering, strong cloud and containerization experience, and a track record of building high-traffic ecommerce platforms in multi-region environments.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in a backend language: Python, Java, or Node.js
• Experience designing, building, and operating microservices at scale
• Deep experience with cloud platforms and multi-region deployments
• Expert-level knowledge of containers and orchestration in production
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates
• Advanced database skills and data modeling for high-throughput systems
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers
• Understanding of caching layers and API security
• Domain experience in e-commerce or logistics is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and build Identity Services including authentication and SSO integrations
• Develop account management APIs for profiles and addresses
• Build real-time order tracking services across warehouse and delivery
• Architect refunds platform handling eligibility and wallet credits
• Ensure secure and performant APIs protecting customer data
• Drive cross-team coordination for end-to-end order lifecycle
• Maintain observability with logging, tracing, and alerts
• Define technical roadmaps and lead cross-team initiatives
• Coach teammates and articulate Lulu's mission to candidates
