Job summary

OptimizeGEO is seeking a senior independent IC to design and ship backend and AI workflows end to end for the platform, reporting to Head of Engineering. This role is fully remote with a compensation package including fixed salary, bonus, equity, and perks.

You will build and run services behind the platform—APIs, data models, async workflows with Celery, Postgres schema, AWS infra—and drive product thinking with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and Django skills.
• Experience with Celery or similar async/background systems.
• Shipped real LLM-based features with evaluation and structured outputs.
• Comfort with data-heavy systems and basic statistics.
• Ability to drive work without detailed specs.
• 10+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend APIs, data models, and async workflows.
• Develop LLM-driven capabilities, pipelines, evaluation, and citations.
• Scale systems handling millions of records across brands and data sources.
• Push product thinking and measurable outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Own features end-to-end from design to deployment.
