Job summary

Oscilar is building the most advanced AI Risk Decisioning platform. We are seeking a senior backend engineer to design and implement scalable services powering AI models with low latency and high throughput in distributed environments.

You will collaborate with product, frontend, and QA teams, deploy and monitor AI workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, and own CI/CD pipelines, security, and data streaming with Kafka/ClickHouse. This remote-first role offers competitive equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years backend software development experience.
• 3+ years focusing on AI/ML, including hands-on with generative AI models (e.g., GPT, LLMs).
• Strong expertise in Python or Java and AWS technologies.
• Experience building and operating low-latency, high-scale services in distributed environments.
• Proven experience deploying and optimizing AI/ML models using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and security best practices.
• Experience with distributed data systems such as Kafka or ClickHouse.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services leveraging generative AI models.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and QA to define technical requirements.
• Optimize AI models and backend services for performance and scalability in distributed environments.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks related to AI processing and system performance.
• Implement best practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI models in production (CI/CD, versioning).
• Proactively monitor health and performance of AI-driven backend services.
