Job summary

Etihad Airways, based in Abu Dhabi, seeks an experienced Aircraft Engineer with Base Maintenance certifying expertise to join our Journey 2030 initiative and support a growing, global fleet.

You will certify maintenance, lead Technicians, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while maintaining documentation, tools, and work areas in optimal condition. A GCAA/EASA license and 7–10 years in base maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA / EASA Part-66 / ICAO Type convertible to GCAA).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying in a Base/Light Maintenance environment.
• 2-3 years of certifying on Etihad aircraft type ratings (Airbus 320/330 NEO/350/380, Boeing 777/787) with company authorization.
• Excellent communication and strong teamwork with safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Certify own work and the work of others after verifying tasks are performed per approved data and authorization.
• Complete all documentation accurately and on time per procedures.
• Carry out maintenance in compliance with health, safety, airport regulations and company procedures.
• Lead and guide Aircraft Technicians to ensure safe and effective practices.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free environment to prevent FOD and ensure tools and documentation are ready for shift start.
• Demonstrate professional conduct with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
• Participate in training to enhance technical capability and contribution.
