Job summary

Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi is seeking experienced Aircraft Engineers to join our Journey 2030 program, supporting fleet expansion and maintenance excellence across a diverse global network. As an Aircraft Engineer you will certify maintenance, lead Technicians, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance while upholding Etihad’s standards.

This role requires a licensed technician with 7–10 years in maintenance and 2–3 years certifying on multiple Etihad aircraft types, plus strong

Qualifications

• High School Leaving Certificate / Diploma / University or College Degree.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA / EASA Part-66 / ICAO Type convertible to GCAA).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience in Line or Base/Light Maintenance.
• 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least 2 of Etihad aircraft type ratings (Airbus 320/330 NEO/350/380, Boeing 777/787) with valid authorization.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong teamwork mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Certify own work and others' tasks after verification against approved data and authorization.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time per procedures.
• Perform maintenance in compliance with safety, health, and airport regulations.
• Prepare materials, parts, tools, and documentation at shift start.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free environment to prevent FOD.
• Guide Technicians to ensure safe, effective work practices.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are safe and serviceable.
• Demonstrate professionalism with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
• Participate in training to enhance technical capability.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and corporate image standards.
• Conduct inspections on Ground Support Equipment and complete checklists.
