Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Technician – Mechanical to perform complex mechanical repairs in line with manufacturer standards, manage repair requests, and ensure accurate job cards for every vehicle. You\'ll handle warranty parts, maintain workshop safety and cleanliness, record oils and consumables, and support overtime as required, while communicating clearly with the Team Leader and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to perform mechanical repairs.
• Strong adherence to safety procedures and PPE.
• Ability to follow manufacturer standards and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs per manufacturer standards and work instructions.
• Adhere to the Fix it Right First Time (F1) principle.
• Complete jobs within the allotted time.
• Provide feedback on additional repairs to Team Leader/Foreman/Controller.
• Communicate delays in advance to Team Leader/Foreman.
• Work overtime when required by Team Leader/Foreman/Controller.
• Record oils/consumables on the job card.
• Handle customer vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Raise parts requisitions when necessary.
• Complete warranty tags, attach them to parts, and store them appropriately.
• Obtain prior approval for additional repairs/warranty jobs.
• Use protective covers on customer vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Comply with workshop safety procedures and SOPs, including PPE use.
• Keep overalls and safety shoes clean.
• Ensure materials issued on job cards are used for the respective vehicles.
