Job summary

Client of MM Management Consultant is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead engagements from planning to completion in the UAE. The role focuses on developing audit strategies, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and ISA while guiding audit teams and managing client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of relevant audit experience, fluent in Arabic and English, with UAE/GCC exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, ACA, or equivalent is preferred.
• 7–10 years of relevant audit experience, preferably with a UAE audit/professional services firm.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a managerial/supervisory position in Auditing/Consulting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, audit methodology, and financial reporting.
• Excellent client management, leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
• Strong ability to lead teams and manage multiple audit engagements.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly desirable.
• UAE driving license would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion.
• Develop audit strategies.
• Identify financial and operational risks and evaluate internal controls.
• Review financial statements, audit working papers, and audit documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, ISA, and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Supervise, coach, and review the work of audit teams.
• Manage engagement budgets, deadlines, and overall audit quality.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Support business development including proposals, presentations, and client meetings.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to the growth of the Audit & Assurance practice.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing standards and UAE regulations.
