The Code for Decoration Design & Fit Out LLC in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Architect with strong joinery knowledge to lead technical coordination and shop drawings for fit-out projects. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements across site and factory teams.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with consultants, preparing material submittals, and reviewing joinery fabrication and installation.

Competenze

• Minimum 3 years of Dubai/UAE fit-out project experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out, renovation, joinery and custom furniture.
• Ability to prepare and review detailed fit-out and joinery shop drawings.
• Good knowledge of architectural finishes, gypsum works, ceilings, flooring, doors, kitchens, wardrobes and wall paneling.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect with joinery experience to join our team in Dubai, with strong technical knowledge of joinery and custom furniture works. The candidate will be responsible for technical coordination, shop drawings, material submittals, and site technical support, ensuring that fit-out and joinery works meet approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.


• Prepare, review, and coordinate fit-out and joinery shop drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, construction details, and fixing details.


• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, joinery factories, and site teams to resolve technical queries and ensure accurate execution.


• Prepare and submit material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and technical documents.


• Check dimensions, material specifications, and technical details before submitting drawings for approval and releasing approved drawings for production.


• Verify site measurements and coordinate joinery fabrication and installation with factory and site teams.


• Review joinery material and hardware submittals, including timber, veneers, laminates, finishes, hinges, runners, and fixing systems.


• Provide technical support to the site team during project execution.


• Identify and resolve technical issues and site discrepancies.


• Coordinate MEP services with architectural and interior fit-out works.


• Review site conditions and propose practical technical solutions.


• Inspect fit-out and joinery installations to verify dimensions, alignment, finishes, and workmanship against approved drawings and samples.


• Maintain proper documentation and follow up on consultant approvals.


• Assist the Project Manager and site team with technical coordination and project requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Dubai/UAE fit-out projects.


• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.


• Strong technical knowledge of interior fit-out, renovation, joinery, and custom furniture works.


• Proven ability to prepare and review detailed fit-out and joinery shop drawings for fabrication and installation.


• Good knowledge of architectural finishes, gypsum works, ceilings, flooring, doors, kitchens, wardrobes, cabinetry, wall paneling, and custom furniture.

Skills

• Sound knowledge of solid wood, MDF, plywood, veneers, laminates, and paint finishes, including their suitability for different joinery applications.


• Understanding of joinery construction methods, hardware selection, fabrication tolerances, and installation requirements is required.


• Knowledge of MEP coordination is required.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
