Job summary

Nova International General Contracting in the UAE is seeking a Senior Architect to work with the Project Manager, engineering teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure design intent is coordinated and implemented on site.

You will review drawings, coordinate disciplines, prepare shop drawings, liaise with clients for approvals, and support on-site delivery while maintaining quality and compliance with UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of experience in contracting environments in the UAE.
• Proven experience on high-end residential or branded residence projects preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other architectural software.
• Good understanding of local regulations and authority requirements.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure completeness and buildability.
• Coordinate architectural details with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to avoid clashes and delays.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Liaise with consultants and clients for design clarifications and approvals.
• Ensure site works are executed in line with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Support on-site teams with technical guidance and resolving architectural issues during construction.
• Monitor progress and contribute to timely project delivery while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist in managing variations, design changes, and as-built documentation.
