Job summary

Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital in the UAE seeks a Consultant Anesthesiologist to join its multidisciplinary team. You will deliver anesthesia across elective and emergency surgeries, perform pre‑anesthetic assessments, and oversee perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Must hold MBBS/MBChB or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized specialty training program in Anesthesiology.
• Consultant qualification recognized by UAE PQR (e.g., American Board, FRCPC, CCT/CCST).
• Minimum 3 years of post‑certification experience as a Consultant Anesthesiologist.
• Valid DOH License as Consultant Anesthesiologist or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for elective, emergency, and day‑case procedures across multiple specialties.
• Conduct pre‑anesthetic assessments and formulate anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
• Manage perioperative care from induction to recovery.
• Deliver acute and chronic pain management services, including regional techniques.
• Participate in management of critically ill patients and airway management.
• Respond to emergencies, including resuscitation and trauma cases.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with standards.
• Practice within granted privileges and uphold professional conduct.
