Job summary

Halian invites an experienced Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions across large-scale environments in Abu Dhabi. You will lead AI system design, integration with ERP platforms, and scalable backend services using Java Spring Boot and Python, while leveraging OpenAI technologies and RAG architectures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Proven experience on large-scale projects with multiple integrations and high-volume workloads.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Strong Java Spring Boot and microservices experience.
• Hands-on with OpenAI APIs and SDKs.
• Experience designing RAG architectures.
• Experience with Langfuse or similar observability platforms.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Experience building with React Native.
• Experience integrating ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, security, and scalability.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience designing multi-agent AI workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications using modern LLM frameworks and OpenAI technologies.
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions leveraging enterprise data.
• Develop scalable backend services using Java Spring Boot and Python.
• Integrate OpenAI SDKs and AI services into enterprise apps.
• Implement observability, tracing, evaluation, and monitoring with Langfuse.
• Build and maintain APIs and microservices for AI workloads.
• Design data models within PostgreSQL environments.
• Develop frontend and mobile experiences using React Native.
• Integrate Microsoft Graph API and Microsoft ecosystem services.
• Deliver integrations with ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, security, and stakeholders to define AI use cases.
• Ensure scalability, security, governance, and reliability of AI solutions.
