Job summary

DAPIN, C.A. is seeking a Senior Advisor TAR in Abu Dhabi to lead shutdown planning and execution. The role demands deep instrumentation design expertise across petrochemical and oil & gas projects, including refinery shutdowns, maintenance and project governance.

You will align resources, review decommissioning/commissioning procedures, and drive HSE standards for TAR programs. English fluency and strong collaboration with staff and contractors are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in instrumentation design in petrochemical and/or oil and gas industries.
• Knowledge of refinery industry, preferably with experience in plant shutdown procedures and maintenance / project management.
• Planning and performance management experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Technical knowledge of different static equipment and metallurgy.
• Experience in maintenance of static and rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of different international codes and standards (API/ASME/TEMA/OISD/NACE, etc.).
• Ability to build relationships with staff and contractors, with a collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a diverse and critical environment.
• Experience in resource, manpower and cost estimation.
• Knowledge of HSE.
• Advanced English.

Responsibilities

• Critically review the work scope together with manpower requirements and other resource needs, and advise on the optimal resource allocation considering TAR shutdown duration.
• Provide best practices in the development of the TAR operational organization, ensuring smooth execution.
• Review TAR decommissioning and commissioning procedures and identify possible optimizations.
• Review the TAR execution governance protocol from a system efficiency perspective and advise on best practices/lessons learned from different shutdowns.
• Provide expertise and guidance in the development of TAR HSE philosophy, guidelines and procedures, and their implementation.
