Job summary

DAPIN, C.A. in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Electrical Lead to oversee the electrical discipline from basic engineering through commissioning on EPC oil & gas and petrochemical projects.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of UAE EPC experience, deep knowledge of IEC/IEEE/NEC, and will lead interfaces with suppliers, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams on 100% on-site assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in EPC Oil & Gas or petrochemical projects.
• Proven experience as Senior Engineer and/or Electrical Lead in complex industrial projects.
• Participation in at least one EPC UAE Onshore or Offshore project.
• Solid experience in design, supervision, and commissioning of power systems, substations, electrical distribution, industrial lighting, grounding, and electrical protection systems.
• Experience in managing technical interfaces with other disciplines, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and UAE standards.
• Practical knowledge of international standards and electrical codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC, API).
• Advanced English level C1 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical discipline during basic engineering, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Review and approve drawings, electrical calculations, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, and project deliverables.
• Ensure correct application of IEC, IEEE, NEC standards and UAE specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, procurement, and construction teams to ensure proper integration of electrical design.
• Manage technical interfaces with contractors, suppliers, and other project disciplines.
• Provide technical support to procurement in the preparation of requisitions, technical evaluations (TBE), and supplier documentation review.
• Participate in technical meetings with manufacturers and follow-up of electrical packages.
• Manage technical queries, deviations, and engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in technical and progress meetings with the client, ensuring timely closure of comments.
• Ensure all electrical activities comply with project quality, safety, and QHSE requirements.
• Ensure proper implementation of applicable corporate procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties inherent to the position.
