Senior Acoustic Engineer – Building Performance & Testing

Job summary

AESG, a specialist consultancy, invites an Acoustic Engineer to join its Dubai team. Bring 3–5 years of acoustic consulting experience, knowledge of measurement methods and building acoustics testing, and ability to work on residential and hospitality projects.

You will conduct noise surveys, perform ISO-compliant tests, develop mitigation strategies, and liaise with clients and design teams. IOA membership preferred; Middle East experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience.
• 3+ years acoustic consulting experience; Middle East experience preferred.
• Experience with acoustic measurements and testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide acoustic engineering design, advice and technical solutions on various projects.
• Conduct environmental noise surveys on construction sites and buildings.
• Perform building acoustic testing to ISO 140 / ISO 16283 standards.
• Carry out acoustic calculations and analysis (sound transmission, reverberation time, HVAC noise).
• Prepare noise and vibration impact assessments for acoustic design projects throughout the life cycle.
• Develop acoustic design strategies for residential, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
• Review drawings for acoustic compliance; provide mitigation recommendations.
• Attend site visits to inspect constructions and verify installation quality.
• Liaise with clients, design teams and authorities to progress acoustic deliverables.
