Astruc & Co, a Dubai-based professional services firm, is hiring a Senior Accounts & Tax Consultant to serve high-end clients with day-to-day accounting and UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.

You will own a portfolio of demanding clients, coordinate with external auditors, and drive AI-enabled automation to improve efficiency, while maintaining senior-level client relationships and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong command of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax essential.
• Senior who enjoys day-to-day accounting tasks: reconciliations, closing, and filing returns.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to automate data entry and reconciliations.
• Experience with cross-border client work is a plus.

Responsibilities

The role

We are hiring a Senior Accounts& Tax Consultant to serve high-end clients — HNWI and large corporategroups — as their day-to-day accounting and tax point of contact. This is ahands-on senior role.

You will own a portfolio ofdemanding clients from end to end: bookkeeping, month-end and year-end closing,UAE VAT compliance, UAE Corporate Tax registration and filing, auditpreparation and liaison with external auditors, and coordination with the firm'slegal, corporate services and revenue teams on anything that touches theclient's file. You will also be expected to think — about how to serve theseclients better, faster, more accurately, at a higher standard, with fewermanual steps and more intelligent tooling.

We want a senior who genuinelyenjoys the day-to-day work of accounting: reconciling accounts, categorisingtransactions, closing the books, filing the returns, sitting with a client'sledger until it balances. We want a senior who has a working command of UAE VATand Corporate Tax and can hold a substantive technical conversation with ademanding CFO or a UHNWI's family office. We want a senior who treats AI as acolleague — who delegates data entry, categorisation, reconciliation drafts androutine documentation to it, who reviews the output critically, and who thenspends their own time on what only a human accountant can do: judgement,exception management, client relationship, strategic and technical thinking.And, importantly, we want a senior who actively looks for opportunities tobring AI-enabled and automation-enabled solutions into the firm to make us allfaster and better.

If you read the FTA guidance theday it drops, know the difference between a good and a bad Zoho Books setup,have strong opinions on Tally versus modern cloud accounting, and have alreadyused AI on real work — this role is for you.

Where you will actually spend your time

• Running the books of assigned clientportfolios: bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing,adjusting entries, supporting schedules.
  
• Preparing and filing UAE VAT returnsand UAE Corporate Tax returns — with your own hands, at senior quality.
  
• Reviewing and improving each client'saccounting setup — chart of accounts, workflows, tooling, integrations.
  
• Managing the client relationship atworking level: understanding the business, anticipating needs, beingreachable, explaining things clearly.
  
• Coordinating with our externalauditors on the annual audit.
  
• Coordinating with the firm's legal,corporate services and revenue teams on anything that touches yourclients.
  
• Identifying, testing and rolling outAI-based and automation-based improvements — for your own portfolio and,where it works, across the Department.
  
• Producing monthly management reportsfor your clients and structured status updates for your manager (Anup).
  

Our tooling and technology environment

We use Zoho Books and Tally(with a live internal discussion on the balance between the two), Zoho CRM, anda growing stack of AI tools — Claude among them — integrated into our dailywork.
