Job summary

Blue Ocean Corporation, a Dubai-based conglomerate, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage daily transactions, ensure month-end closes, and prepare financial reports in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong UAE VAT knowledge, full-cycle accounting expertise, and fluency in Arabic and English. You will coordinate with banks, suppliers, and internal teams, while maintaining strict compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
4–6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication.
Experience with UAE VAT, financial reporting, and full-cycle accounting.

Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting transactions including AP, AR, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
Perform reconciliations of bank, supplier, customer, and ledgers.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up.
Assist with monthly closing, financial reports, and management reporting.
Maintain documentation of all accounting transactions.
Assist in UAE VAT returns preparation and compliance.
Coordinate with banks, suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
Assist with payroll-related accounting activities as required.
Support audits with required financial records.
Monitor expenses and ensure proper documentation.
Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and company policies.
Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
