Job summary

Cigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, seeks an experienced Accountant to analyze and report on financial results for our business operations. The role emphasizes close processes, audit support, regulatory reporting, and ad hoc improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The Senior Accountant will collaborate with FP&A, Ops Finance, and BI to ensure accurate reporting and timely balance sheet management, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and effective communication.

Qualifications

• 3 years of general ledger accounting and full month-end close
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Audit; CPA or equivalent preferred but not required
• Prior healthcare/insurance industry experience preferred
• Strong analytic and communication skills
• Problem solving and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

• Analyze and reconcile key financial reporting measurements with FP&A Ops Finance and BI teams
• Prepare quarterly and year-end exhibits and reconcile ledger accounts monthly
• Prepare and analyze regulatory reporting requirements quarterly
• Ensure ICO balances are cleared and ARM reconciliations meet timelines
• Support Treasury with deposits, cash monitoring and transfers
• Assist with audits and regulatory reporting as required
