Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or closely related discipline mandatory.
• CMA/ACCA certification will be advantageous.
• UAE accounting experience preferred, especially in schools/education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and accounting schedules.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, adjustments, and closing entries.
• Complete month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Reconcile bank, supplier, and receivable accounts.
• Monitor school-fee income and receivables; ensure proper collection data.
• Ensure transactions are authorized, recorded, documented, and allocated.
• Review supplier invoices and support timely payments.
• Monitor expenditure against budgets and report variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning.
• Maintain fixed-asset records and annual verifications.
• Support audits and improve accounting processes and systems.
• Protect confidential financial information.
• Provide management with explanations of trends, risks, and performance.
