Job summary

Al Marwan Group in the UAE seeks an experienced Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting with hands-on expertise in end-to-end accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. The ideal candidate has real estate development experience in the UAE, and a solid understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Hands-on experience with a real estate developer in the UAE is mandatory.
• Strong IFRS and UAE VAT knowledge.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• ACCA/CA/CMA/CPA would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain general ledger, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, intercompany.
• Prepare budget vs. actual reports and variance analyses.
• Monitor real estate development project costs and revenues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Ensure IFRS and UAE VAT compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide schedules.
• Maintain internal controls and process improvements.
• Provide timely financial information for decision making.
