• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.

• Strong IFRS and UAE VAT knowledge.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• ACCA/CA/CMA/CPA would be an advantage.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting with strong hands-on expertise in end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate must have relevant accounting and finance experience with a real estate developer in the UAE, along with a strong understanding of financial controls, IFRS, and UAE VAT requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Maintain and review the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
• Manage and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare budget vs. actual reports, variance analysis, and financial performance reports for management.
• Monitor and account for real estate development project costs, development expenses, revenues, and project-related financial transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure accounting records and financial reports comply with IFRS, UAE VAT requirements, and internal financial policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Review financial data, identify discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of accounting and reporting issues.
• Maintain effective internal financial controls and support continuous improvement of accounting and reporting processes.
• Provide management with accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information to support business decisions.

Required skills & qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.

• Strong experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, month-end closing, and account reconciliations.
• Good understanding of real estate development accounting, project costs, revenue, and development expenses.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, numerical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CMA, or CPA would be an advantage.
