Job summary

Al Marwan Group in the UAE seeks an experienced Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting to lead end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close for a real estate development portfolio. You will manage GL, reconciliations, budgeting, and analysis with IFRS and UAE VAT compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, hands-on UAE real estate exposure, and strong ERP/Excel skills. ACCA/CA/CMA/CPA are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Hands-on experience with a real estate developer in the UAE is mandatory.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, GL accounting, month-end closing, and reconciliations.
• Good understanding of real estate development accounting, project costs and revenues.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, numerical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CMA, or CPA would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Maintain and review the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare budget vs. actual reports, variance analysis, and financial performance reports for management.
• Monitor and account for real estate development project costs, development expenses, revenues, and project-related financial transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure accounting records and reports comply with IFRS, UAE VAT, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and prepare schedules and schedules.
• Review financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain strong internal controls and drive process improvements in accounting/reporting.
