UAE Accountant – Multi-Entity GL, AP/AR & Reporting

Job summary

element MEA in the UAE is seeking an experienced Finance Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in Sharjah. You will manage sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries, ensuring accurate ledgers and timely reporting across multiple group entities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of UAE accounting experience, strong knowledge of AP/AR, GL, reconciliations, MS Excel, and ERP software, plus a basic understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 3+ years of UAE accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP/AR, General Ledger, reconciliations.
• Good command of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Basic understanding of UAE VAT & Corporate Tax.
• Experience with multiple entities/group companies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries.
• Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier and inter-company reconciliations.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete and properly documented.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules and management data for group companies.
• Provide financial information and supporting documents to Internal Audit.
• Support Tax & Compliance with VAT/Corporate Tax workings and documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing, audits and financial reporting.
• Identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
