Job summary

Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Pvt. Ltd. in Abu Dhabi invites a Senior Accountant to join our Managed Services & Advisory team.

You will lead end-to-end accounting engagements for multiple clients, prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements, and oversee VAT compliance and advisory work. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of accounting experience, ACCA (or equivalent), strong IFRS knowledge, UAE VAT expertise, and hands-on experience with SAP, Zoho, QuickBooks or Oracle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience in a consultancy/advisory environment.
• ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS.
• Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cash flow analysis.
• Proven experience leading client engagements independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accounting engagements across multiple clients.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Manage VAT compliance, filings, and advisory for clients.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for clients.
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on financial matters.
• Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Mentor and guide junior team members on engagements.
