Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial closing for multiple companies and projects.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow analyses.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, payments, expenses, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Prepare tax filings and maintain supporting financial documentation.
• Monitor financial performance and review contracts from accounting and tax perspectives.
• Maintain robust financial controls, procedures, and audit-ready records.
• Supervise accounting staff and coordinate with auditors, banks and tax consultants.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

A leading real estate developer in Dubai is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant / Finance Manager to oversee accounting operations and the broader finance function across multiple related companies and projects.

The role combines strategic financial management with detailed operational accounting. The successful candidate will manage reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, cash flow, internal controls, and stakeholder coordination while supporting business growth and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial closing for multiple companies and projects


• Prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow analyses


• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payments, expenses, and intercompany transactions


• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, and internal accounting policies


• Prepare tax filings and maintain supporting financial documentation


• Monitor financial performance and review contracts and transactions from accounting, tax, and financial perspectives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Strong UAE accounting experience


• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS


• Real estate development experience is highly preferred


• Off-plan property development accounting experience is an advantage


• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management


• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems


• QuickBooks experience is preferred


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills


• Experience managing accounting and reporting for multiple companies or projects is preferred


• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the finance function


• Must be hands-on and willing to perform detailed accounting work alongside Finance Manager responsibilities
