Job summary

Our client in Dubai seeks a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, and controls in a professional real estate and hospitality setting.

The role requires a hands-on accounting professional who can maintain accurate records, support management reporting, and ensure timely finance processes while reporting to the Finance Manager and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Good UAE VAT and local compliance knowledge.
• Strong general ledger, reconciliations, month-end closing and reporting.
• Experience in real estate, property management, hospitality or related environments.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting and ensure accurate posting of financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing schedules and documentation.
• Perform bank, balance-sheet, intercompany, supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Prepare management reports, financial schedules, variance analysis and commentary.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities and monitor balances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring and financial planning.
• Maintain fixed-asset registers, accruals, prepayments, provisions and journal entries.
• Support UAE VAT preparation, audits and statutory reporting requirements.
• Assist with improving accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with Finance Manager and other stakeholders.
