Job summary

Alcazar Energy is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting tasks with limited supervision and to progressively structure and improve accounting processes within a group company structure.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial sensibility, ability to verify numbers, reconcile balances, and drive accuracy in financial statements, while handling high volumes and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• Qualified or Part qualified CA, CPA, ACCA or similar is required.
• Strong audit experience is highly desirable (3 years).
• Experience in corporate accounting, general ledger, project costing, and SPC/SPV structures is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Documents financial transactions by entering accounting entries in the ERP/Accounting system.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, P&L, and other reports.
• Audits and substantiates financial transactions with supporting documents.
• Maintains accounting controls by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Reconciles discrepancies and maintains security through internal controls.
• Prepares payments and disbursements with proper documentation.
• Prepares ad hoc financial reports and analyzes trends.
• Ensures tax compliance including VAT and CIT under local regulations.
• Coordinates with auditors for external financial audits.
• Supports line manager with special projects and process improvements.
