Job summary

Talent Bridge HR Consultancy Dubai is seeking a Senior Accountant to support daily finance operations in a real estate and hospitality setting in Dubai. You will handle general ledger tasks, month-end close, and accurate financial reporting while ensuring compliance and strong internal controls.

The role requires an independent, detail-oriented professional who can coordinate with the Finance Manager and senior leadership on balance sheet activities and management reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• ACCA CMA CPA CA or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.
• Strong general ledger, month-end closing and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger: manage postings and accuracy.
• Closing: prepare monthly, quarterly, year-end schedules.
• Reconciliations: bank, balance-sheet, intercompany, supplier and customer accounts.
• Management Reporting: prepare financial schedules and commentary.
• Receivables/Payables: oversee AP/AR activities and aging.
• Budgeting/Forecasting: support cash-flow monitoring and planning.
• Financial Controls: maintain fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and journal entries.
• VAT compliance: UAE VAT reporting and audits.
• Process Improvement: enhance accounting processes and internal controls.
• Stakeholder support: liaise with Finance Manager, departments, auditors and banks.

Senior Accountant General Ledger Accountant Financial Accountant Jobs in Dubai About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day finance operations financial reporting month-end closing reconciliations compliance and accounting controls within a professional real estate and hospitality environment.

The role requires a hands-on accounting professional who can maintain accurate financial records support management reporting manage key balance-sheet and general-ledger activities and ensure finance processes are completed accurately and on time.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently while supporting the Finance Manager and senior finance leadership across operational accounting and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger: Manage general ledger accounting and ensure accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
• Financial Closing: Prepare monthly quarterly and year-end closing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Account Reconciliations: Perform bank balance-sheet intercompany supplier and customer account reconciliations.
• Management Reporting: Prepare management reports financial schedules variance analysis and supporting commentary.
• Receivables Payables: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities and monitor outstanding balances.
• Budgeting Forecasting: Support budgeting forecasting cash-flow monitoring and financial planning activities.
• Financial Controls: Maintain accurate fixed-asset registers accruals prepayments provisions and journal entries.
• VAT Compliance: Support UAE VAT preparation financial compliance audits and statutory reporting requirements.
• Process Improvement: Assist with improving accounting processes internal controls reporting workflows and finance systems.
• Stakeholder Support: Work closely with the Finance Manager operational departments auditors suppliers banks and other stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant accounting and finance experience.
• UAE Experience: Good UAE accounting experience with knowledge of local finance practices and compliance requirements.
• Core Accounting: Strong general ledger reconciliations month-end closing and financial reporting experience.
• Industry Exposure: Experience within real estate property management hospitality construction or a related environment is highly advantageous.
• ERP Systems: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• UAE Compliance: Good understanding of UAE VAT audit requirements internal controls and financial documentation.
• Attention Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple accounting priorities.
• Academic Qualification: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline is preferred.
• Professional Qualification: Qualifications such as ACCA CMA CPA CA or equivalent are advantageous.
