Job description

Responsibilities

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
2. Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis to facilitate decision-making by the management team.
3. Assist in the development and monitoring of the company's budget, ensuring that expenses align with the approved financial plan.
4. Oversee and reconcile inventory records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to inventory control procedures.
5. Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, processing invoices, making payments, and following up on outstanding payments.
6. Ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns accurately and on time.
7. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
8. Assist with internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
9. Collaborate with the management team to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures.
10. Coordinate payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely payment to employees while adhering to payroll tax regulations.
11. Utilize accounting software and financial management tools effectively to streamline processes.

Requirements

1. Manage all accounting transactions and handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
2. Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other reports based on standard accounting practices. Prepare client invoicing on a monthly basis.
3. Monitor monthly payroll deadlines, processing WPS and ensuring timely payments to all staff.
4. Attend client meetings to recover funds.
