Job summary

BioBlend Compounding Pharmacy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations on-site. You will maintain the general ledger, handle AP/AR, payroll entries, and bank reconciliations, and prepare financial statements with attention to timeliness and accuracy.

The role requires budgeting and forecasting support, cash flow monitoring, cost controls, and strong compliance with UAE tax laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing processes.

Role Description

The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll entries, and bank reconciliations. This role includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and monitoring cash flow and cost controls. The individual will ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies, and will assist in audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. The Senior Accountant will work closely with management to provide financial insights, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business planning.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and other office productivity tools.
• Familiarity with local tax laws, regulatory requirements, and audit practices in the United Arab Emirates.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare or pharmacy environment, or similar regulated industry, is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CMA) are preferred.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role.
