Job summary

Amazon is seeking a cybersecurity professional to support security assurance and compliance initiatives across the MENAT region. The role focuses on helping regulated customers adopt cloud services securely while meeting industry requirements and regulations.

You will analyze regulatory requirements, coordinate with AWS teams and regulators, prepare compliance artifacts, and communicate security controls to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 7+ years in IT security compliance or security assurance; familiarity with security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of cloud security controls and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze technical documentation and prepare clear written communications.

The role focuses on helping customers securely adopt cloud services while meeting regulated industry requirements and regulations.

The role requires experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks, with emphasis on helping regulated customers understand and implement their security and compliance requirements in the cloud. The position involves interaction with government agencies, Regulators, security teams, and technical staff across multiple countries in the MENAT region.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Security Assurance Specialist, support AWS security compliance initiatives in the MENAT region by:
• Working with internal AWS teams to implement security and compliance frameworks
• Supporting engagements with regulatory bodies and customers
• Contributing to security and compliance solutions for regulated workloads
• Helping coordinate between service teams and external stakeholders

• Analyze and document regulatory requirements by:
• Collaborating with internal teams to interpret cybersecurity policies and regulations
• Helping prepare responses to regulatory inquiries

• Maintaining technical documentation and regulatory tracking

• Contribute to compliance programs for regulated industries by:
• Gathering and organizing evidence for compliance requirements

• Working with service teams to validate security implementations

• Support customers and partners by:
• Providing guidance on security requirements for cloud adoption
• Delivering security awareness presentations

A day in the life

Collaborate with AWS teams across the MENAT region to support security and compliance initiatives. Gather and document compliance evidence, prepare materials for regulatory engagements, and support analysis of security requirements. Contribute to security assessments, maintain compliance tracking tools, and coordinate responses to regulatory queries. Interact with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders to bridge communications between AWS teams and external parties while supporting broader compliance objectives.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Cybersecurity, or related technical field
• 7 years of experience in IT security compliance or security assurance with experience in security frameworks and compliance requirements
• Understanding of cloud security controls and regulatory requirements
• Ability to analyze technical documentation and prepare clear written communications

• Business-level proficiency with Arabic language

Preferred qualifications

• Professional certifications in security or cloud (e.g., CISSP, AWS Security, CCSP, ISO 27001)

• Track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences
