Trafigura is seeking a regional Security & Business Resilience Lead to manage physical security and resilience across the Middle East, with support to the global organization. The role protects personnel, property, and operations by identifying risks, coordinating responses, and aligning security with business needs.
Key focus areas include governance, regional security plans, incident response, travel security, and continuity planning.
This position is part of Trafigura’s Security & Business Resilience function and acts as a regional security lead. It involves direct, practical management of physical security and resilience within the middle east and with regular support to the rest of the global organization. This role aims to safeguard Trafigura's personnel, property, and operations by spotting, evaluating, and handling physical security risks in complex, multi-jurisdictional settings. It acts as the main security contact between the global function and regional business lines — including trading, operations, operating companies, and subsidiaries — ensuring security supports commercial activity without hindrance.
The ideal profile is a security or business resilience professional who takes full ownership of outcomes, executes quickly, and understands that security and business resilience enable business success. They balance short-term operational demands with long-term partnership success, communicate clearly at all levels, and are equally comfortable in the field and in front of senior leadership. Operate effectively across diverse cultural, regulatory, and operational contexts, demonstrating sensitivity to local requirements while maintaining global standards. Navigate the complexity of a multinational organisation with confidence, pragmatism, and cultural intelligence.
Communicate with clarity and confidence at executive and board level, translating technical security matters into language that drives informed decision-making. Produce high-quality written and verbal outputs that are tailored to diverse audiences and reflect the organization’s strategic priorities. Build and sustain positive relationships across regional and global functions, bringing to bear influence rather than authority to drive alignment and shared outcomes. Foster a culture of cross-functional cooperation in which security and resilience are understood as shared organizational responsibilities. Prove you can think and act at a strategic level by defining a clear security and resilience direction. Ensure this direction matches organizational aims and predicts future issues. Turn complicated risk situations into understandable strategies that gain confidence from senior leaders.
