Job summary

SmartAgro in Al Ain seeks a seasoned Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations of our Indian restaurant. You will lead staff, develop menus, ensure quality and safety, and drive service during peak times.

Required: 5+ years as an Executive Chef or similar in Indian cuisine, strong leadership and English skills, and a valid UAE visa. Seasonal position with a monthly salary of 1,600 USD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in an Indian restaurant setting.
• Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, cooking techniques, and cultural traditions.
• Ability to manage a team effectively, delegate tasks, and provide guidance when needed.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
• Train kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Ensure all food safety regulations are followed, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Oversee food production during busy periods to ensure timely service.
• Collaborate with management to create budgets, track expenses, and maintain profitability.
• Conduct performance evaluations for kitchen staff and provide feedback for improvement.
