Job summary

Halian is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support the delivery of Lending & Finance transformation initiatives in Abu Dhabi. You will drive Agile delivery across multiple workstreams, coordinate with business stakeholders, technology teams and vendors to ensure successful programme execution.

The role requires strong banking domain knowledge, excellent stakeholder management, and proven experience managing complex programmes in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in PM, Scrum Master or Agile Delivery.
• Experience in Banking/Financial services.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and manage Scrum teams.
• Hands-on Jira, Confluence, and agile reporting.
• Experience with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• Strong governance, planning and reporting.
• Agile certifications such as CSM/PSM/SAFe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming).
• Coordinate with business users, technology teams and vendors to deliver projects.
• Manage project plans, delivery roadmaps and governance activities.
• Track sprint progress, milestones, risks, dependencies and impediments.
• Maintain Jira boards, user stories, sprint backlogs and metrics.
• Gather and document business requirements with stakeholders.
• Prepare executive status reports, dashboards and delivery updates.
• Support budget tracking and resource planning.
• Ensure adherence to Agile best practices and delivery standards.
• Facilitate communication between business, project and technology teams.
• Support Lending and Finance platform initiatives from requirements to go-live.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the delivery of strategic Lending and Finance transformation initiatives within a leading banking organisation in Abu Dhabi.

This role will be responsible for driving Agile delivery across multiple workstreams, coordinating with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure successful programme execution. The successful candidate will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage project governance, track delivery progress, and maintain alignment between business objectives and delivery outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong banking domain knowledge, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and proven experience managing complex projects in highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.
• Coordinate with business users, technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage and maintain project plans, delivery roadmaps, and programme governance activities.
• Track sprint progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and impediments across workstreams.
• Maintain and update Jira boards, user stories, sprint backlogs, and delivery metrics.
• Gather and document business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Prepare executive-level project status reports, dashboards, and delivery updates.
• Support budget tracking, approval processes, and resource planning activities.
• Ensure adherence to Agile best practices and delivery standards.
• Facilitate communication between business, project, and technology teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Support Lending and Finance platform initiatives from requirements through delivery and go-live.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Project Management, Scrum Master, or Agile Delivery roles.
• Proven experience delivering projects within Banking, Lending, or Financial Services environments.
• Strong experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing Scrum teams.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile reporting tools.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Excellent project governance, planning, and reporting capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work within large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
• Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience within UAE banking institutions.
• Exposure to Lending, Loans, Credit, and Finance transformation projects.
• Knowledge of project budgeting, approvals, and financial governance processes.
• Experience working with third-party technology vendors and implementation partners.
