Job summary

GEMS Education is seeking a high-caliber Facilities and School Operations Leader to ensure the safe, secure and efficient operation of the school premises. You will drive maintenance, security, and environmental initiatives while leading administration and support services in alignment with the Principal/CEO and Corporate Office.

You will oversee budgeting, procurement, and third-party contracts, ensuring compliance with health and safety laws and delivering value for money across all facilities

Qualifications

• Minimum a BA or equivalent (advanced) diploma/Certificate of School Business Management/Facilities.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification is desirable for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the School's facilities, safety, security, maintenance and cleanliness to ensure site readiness.
• Oversee administration and support services, staff deployment and recruitment in collaboration with the Principal/CEO.
• Provide strategic guidance on business, financial and operational matters with performance management.
• Develop staff through high-quality professional development and training.
• Drive environmental sustainability targets across the School site.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety guidance and Corporate standards.
• Monitor external contracts to ensure service quality and value for money.
• Manage budgets and expenditure to optimize value without compromising safety or quality.
