Role Context

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily school library operations and ensure the library remains organized, accessible, and welcoming for students and staff.
• Maintain an updated collection of books, reference materials, e-books, digital resources, and learning tools.
• Classify, catalog, label, and arrange new library materials according to standard library practices.
• Develop and implement library policies, borrowing procedures, circulation systems, and resource usage guidelines.
• Support students in developing research skills, reading habits, information literacy, and independent learning confidence.
• Guide students in using library databases, online research tools, e-books, and digital learning platforms.
• Assist teachers by recommending curriculum-aligned books, reference materials, and instructional resources.
• Organize book fairs, reading campaigns, storytelling activities, literacy programs, and library-based learning initiatives.
• Teach students how to access, evaluate, and use digital information responsibly and effectively.
• Maintain and update library management systems, digital catalogues, online research tools, and resource databases.
