Job summary

LEAMS Education seeks a School Librarian to manage a dynamic learning resource center in a Dubai campus. You will oversee daily operations, curate books and digital content, and ensure efficient cataloging and circulation for students and teachers.

You will promote information literacy, guide student research using databases and e-books, and collaborate with teachers to enrich the curriculum with relevant resources and reading initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Science or related field.
• Experience as a school librarian is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of library management systems, cataloging and resource organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the school library and maintain an orderly learning environment.
• Maintain an updated collection of books, reference materials, e-books, and digital content.
• Classify, catalog, label, and organize resources according to library practices.
• Develop borrowing, return, renewal, and resource-use procedures.
• Guide students in using online databases, e-books, and digital research platforms.
• Monitor resource usage and prepare relevant statistics and reports.
