Job summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking a senior SCADA engineer for Dubai rail projects. You will troubleshoot, perform root-cause analyses, and manage SCADA system maintenance and enhancements across multiple project phases.

You will lead IVVQ activities, support OCS T&C technical work, and act as the primary technical escalation contact with clients. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Metro SCADA system.
• Proven expertise in large-scale infrastructure or metro rail projects.
• In-depth understanding of SCADA systems operations.
• Experience in software version testing, deployment and support in operational settings.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to learn about new technologies quickly.
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Resolve escalated customer complaints without team lead intervention.
• Document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps.
• Participation in providing training to customers as required.
• Client-facing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and resolution of assigned work order.
• Provide Root Cause Analysis for the assigned work order.
• Manage SCADA system-level maintenance and enhancements.
• Lead phases of SCADA development and IVVQ for new software versions.
• Support projects relevant to OCS T&C technical activities.
• Ensure troubleshooting of network and SCADA issues.
• Analyze Obsolescence Report per client requirements.
• Be the primary contact for customer technical queries and guidance on parts.
• Promote awareness of OCS capabilities and improve knowledge.
• Update documentation and procedures as needed.
• Investigate design documentation and software release docs for unclear functionality.
• Represent Project Management at customer progress review meetings.
• Address technical concession requests.
• Support internal and external progress reporting.
• Coordinate technical support at customer sites; attend meetings.
• Participate in training development and planning.
• Ensure product safety requirements are met and safety procedures followed.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.
