Job summary

NAFFCO Careers in Dubai seeks a Safety Engineer (SARS Approved) to lead safety management on construction and engineering projects. You will develop policies, ensure SARS compliance, and drive a culture of safety across the site.

Responsibilities include audits, incident investigations, training delivery, and documentation. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to uphold highest safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Safety Engineering, OHS, Environmental Science, or related.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in health and safety engineering or site safety with SARS approval/registration.
• Experience with SARS safety documentation, audits, and compliance in construction/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update safety policies, risk assessments, and safety management systems.
• Lead health and safety inspections, hazard identifications, and site audits.
• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, contractors to mitigate safety risks.
• Conduct accident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Deliver SARS-compliant safety training, toolbox talks, and inductions.
• Prepare and submit SARS safety compliance documentation, records, permits, and certifications.
• Liaise with SARS auditors and authorities during safety reviews.
• Oversee hazardous materials management per SARS guidelines.
• Monitor site activities to identify and address emerging hazards.
