Job summary

Caliberly is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to develop and enforce health and safety procedures on construction sites in Dubai. You will conduct regular inspections, identify hazards, and drive preventive measures in collaboration with site teams.

The role requires 5–10 years in safety, with at least 6 years in UAE construction, and NEBOSH/IOSH certification. Strong communication, reporting, and emergency response skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience as Safety Officer, with at least 6 years in UAE construction.
• Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and international standards (OSHA/NEBOSH).
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective safety measures.
• Proficient in preparing safety reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety protocols on construction sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for site staff.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and trainings.
• Collaborate with managers, engineers, and contractors to promote safety culture.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor safety during lifting, scaffolding, and equipment use.
